why not use a 4 way rotary...

if that would work.....would it be 2 knobs, 3 way, and a 4 way rotary?  Can you draw it up?

nop, I can't draw it, since I can't find a rotary that would do what I want it to do, so, sorry, no can do.

besides, for it to work, you'd need a (lemme think) 8 wafer switch, and that would never fit in a guitarcavity.

guess i will forgo the parallel.....when do you use it???  What sound does it emulate the most?

honestly I am i humbucker type of guy!...full power guy///the rails and p-90 will be a bonus.  all my other guitars have EMG  81/85 or dimarzio Breeds.  BALLS TO THE WALL!

will I msss the parallel?

don't know if you'd miss it, without having tried it first. kinda like schroedingers cat I suppose :) you dont know if you like it or not, without having tried it.

the sound of parallel is like a sweet, clear, PAF.

If I were doing p-rails (and  while I admit I'm quite the guitar noob) I would use the Seymour Duncan triple-shot rings.  Right now, they're only available in black, but they're supposed to have creme shipping sometime this year.  I've put them in a guitar, and as I said, I'm a noob guitar as well as wiring, so it's not that hard.  I also used a push-pull to switch between pickups, and I think the push-pull wiring was harder than the rings (although the pickup cavity was a tight fit.)

There was an earlier thread here:

Speaking of which: Orpheo, didn't you say you were getting yours?  What did you think?

EDIT: I should probably link to the SD web page on the TS rings.   While I'm at it, a picture:
