P/J or J bass setup for Gecko 5

I'm going to have to sift through all of this, but I know I like the modern sound. I've become pretty accustomed to have a mid control to adjust for rooms and such but I think you are right tf that I could just do this on my amp (even though it's not eden ). Again I have more research to do but right now I'm leaning toward the nordstrand p/j. These are humcancelling right?

NJ5 = single-coil 5-string J-bass
NJ5S = split-coil 5-string J-bass
NJ5F = single-coil 5-string J-bass, Fender size
NJ5FS = split-coil 5-string J-bass, Fender size

NP5 = 5-string P-bass pickup (fits same route size as a 4-string)

Thanks a lot skuttle. Definetly let me know when your site gets up and maybe I'll be one of your first! Will you be carrying the P/J and the preamp?

I am a little confused by the preamp though. Am I correct in assuming that all of the controls will be mounted on the inside of the bass? It doesn't look like there is enough space between the pots to put knobs on it.  :icon_scratch:

How could I make some Korina covers for the pickups if I don't have a top to cut them out of?
