My fave of the whole Warming thing was the Evil Eye, ritual condemnation etc. applied to Michael Crichton. He attempted to make the point that IF the warming is really really real - regardless of any cause - it would be a whole lot better idea to plan how you're going to move San Francisco, San Diego, Portland, Houston, New Orleans, Miami, Jacksonville, Washington DC, and New York City THREE HUNDRED MILES INLAND, because that's going to be a WHOLE LOT more important than separating your glass from your paper.

i'm not against warming. just the propaganda. i actually wish i could see all the data. also some of what we are supposed to do about it is full of holes. when battery tech changes i'll be all for electric cars, especially if they can get them to charge faster but mostly because technology is cool.

i don't want to keep this derailed...  again i have no issue with science, just politics and propaganda. if only people weren't so afraid of good clean nuclear power, the greenest power there is, and yet was another topic of environmental fear when i was a kid rather than the truth that it's a solution... but whatever.
