Old Warmoth Strat, what's it worth? with Pics

I just traded a Marshall amp I had for this guitar. It sounds and feels awesome, I've had 3 Strats before this one, and this  noticeably has the most powerful strat tone. I'm just wondering what it's worth, the guy said he paid 600 for it. I'm wondering in case down the line I ever want to sell it. here are pics  Fender Deluxe Tuners, Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pro pickups, birds eye maple neck, alder body. Also it took the neck off and the neck and body both have the Warmoth Logo of a Turtle with a flag or something

If you traded any sort of tube Marshall for it (excluding perhaps the Haze models and Class 5) you probably got the short end of the stick moneywise.  I'm sure it's a very nice guitar, but Warmoths, or any parts guitar for that matter, do NOT hold their value well.  Real world price, for that guitar in that condition, I wouldn't give you any more than $500.

Asking us to appraise it may not be accurate.  Like dudesweet says, parts guitars don't retain value well.  However Craigslist or eBay may bode well though.  Even getting a used MIM Strat and swapping necks may raise the value of both.  For some reason, Fender guitars with a Warmoth neck or body do well.

The "knot" is perfectly in line with the string retainer, too. Definitely a filled hole.

Honestly, I am a lot less likely to buy a guitar from a guy that lies about whether a hole is a knot, or if it was a hole that was filled. :dontknow:

From my point of view, whether or not that's a hole or a knot is the least of the problems with the thing. I could build a new guitar for what it would cost to make that one acceptable to me. But, that's just me. If he likes the way it sounds/plays/looks, that's all that really matters. Look at what SRV played. If he'd have given me one of his guitars back when he was still kicking, I would have wanted to toss it in the fireplace and wash my hands a half dozen times. But, there are lots of folks who'd pay a pretty penny for such a thing, so I'd probably have to put it on ebay.

lol i'm not lying about the knot, or filler. It's a tiny mark, and I've never noticed it before, frankly, what does that matter? that's not going to affect anything either way.

You ever pick up a grungy old off brand accustic with nothing fancy looking about and play it, and for some reason, it was the 1 in 1000 that came off the assembly line with EVERYthing perfect and it's the best sounding guitar ever?

I've got 4 Warmoths here and they all sound and play different, The point is this, if that guitar of yours plays and sounds like a dream, and you get it into the hands of the right buyer, you could make some money on it.

Completely off topic, well sort of, anyone else find it funny the decal says "Synchronized Tremolo" and its a hardtail? :laughing7:
