OK...it's official....TOP ROUTED Soloist.

Does anyone know how close the top-routed Soloist is to the Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal (in grey), the G&L Legacy series (red), or the Yamaha Pacifica (blue), just in terms of what pickup shape suits it well? I know Warmoth sells its own, in a variety of colors, but there's a guy who lives close to me who can print custom color artwork onto pickguard, and I'd love to support his business. He's not going to have any issue matching any Strat ever made, but I'm really liking the shape of the Soloist, and the deeper cutaways especially. I think the pickguards on offer are quite sharp, so it might be closer to the G&L pickguard shape, but I don't know if anything would be 100% accurate unless the Soloist was based on a particular superstrat model.

As far as Charvel is concerned, the So Cal is the same exact body as a Fender Stratocaster (Charvel got their start in the 70s modifying Stratocasters, the SoCal is based on their oldest models and arguably the first Superstrat) and the DK24/DK22 is the same as a Jackson Dinky. They’re even made in the same factories in Mexico and Japan (Fender owns Charvel and Jackson). The Soloist seems to basically be 90% of a Dinky, maybe slightly less pointy.

I’m not sure about the Yamaha or G&L.

I would suggest getting a Warmoth pickguard. If the person can then print onto that or replicate the shape for you that would be better than using something that is more than likely not compatible.
