That's a very nice top, but I've seen nicer on Lesters before.

At first glance, that is one of the best looking tops ever. That blue is incredible.

However, upon closer inspection, the two halves of the top are very poorly matched. :sad:

Getting a perfect bookmatch on a carved top is rare. As you start carving both halves of the bookmatch away, you remove some of the mirror image. As you go out towards the deeper carve, it gets worse.

Flat top guitars bookmatch much better for this reason.
