Had packages waiting for me when I got home today!  :hello2:
First there was this nice piece of Pau Ferro.

And in the next box was my Daphne Blue Musiclander!

Here is one of them together!

I got an extra pair of TV Jones P90s and a Schaller 475 that needed a home, so I thought I would do something a little different than I normally see.
Also wanted to try a rotary switch to wire the P90s up like a Tele 4-way mod.
Anyway, here is a rough mock up of what I'm planning.

Not sure I'll actually go with a chicken head, but everthing needs a little Mojo I guess.
Well, what do you think?  :dontknow:

Wow. I like it. A lot. Thing is just begging to be abused. I think you're going to have a lotta fun with it.

Makes me want to do a Jazzmaster in that color. Love it, man.  :icon_thumright: I usually can't stand the Warhead headstock, but I think it fits really well. I think it wants me to get funky on it.

Huh. That is different. As a semi-closeted fan of the Guild Thunderbird, I can dig it.

Also, your Pau Ferro neck takes the wind out of the one I just grabbed from the Showcase  :guitaristgif:

Nonsense. Wait'll you get it. You'll be peeing your pants. Warmoth parts aren't inexpensive, but they're worth every penny.

Another in rather quick succession  :icon_thumright:

Oh Man ... you must know the delivery guy (like I know mine) by now.  :laughing7:

I totally agree with Cagey! Every neck I've bought off the showcase has been better than the pictures once I got it in hand!  :guitarplayer2:

I'm glad many of you like this. I'm  hoping it will be as fun to play as it looks!  :party07:

And, I think Patrick has dubbed it!!  :occasion14:

What do you think Doug?  :icon_biggrin:

@Updown - Yeah, I didn't really plan it that way, but what can I say? I'm having a blast!! :toothy12:

Oh, that is SO cool. Mega points for simplicity + originality, rarely seen in combination. Keep the chicken head, keep it all.

Hey, what's the scale on that neck? Is it a full 25.5?

Yeah, it is a full 25.5". I honestly thought about going shorter, but now that I have it in hand, this seems just right!  :dontknow:

The neck looks beautiful and I really like your plan.  I think pairing the Warhead neck with the Musiclander with P90s and rotary switch is great idea!!!!

Dude, you have been dominating the board with "out of the box" ideas.  Another awesome combo!  :guitarplayer2:

Wow that looks awesome! I literally think this is the first musiclander I have seen here.

Nice job!! I'm not sure I would do the chicken head either...but hey who know, it might just look totally awesome.

Ok I guess I'll have to be a follower . . .  but nice to see the Musiclander getting some love.

I've been planning a very similar build for a few weeks now.  So of course I think that is shaping up very nicely. I think the Musiclanders look best painted. That is a great shade of blue, and that neck is gorgeous.

I'm just finalizing the details in my head in the last day or two. Poplar body, Two p90s, a recessed TOM bridge. 24 3/4" Warmoth headstock neck. On the fence about controls but thinking in terms of a single concentric vol/tone knob. I've been holding off on ordering because i'm on the fence about a Single coil in the middle position.

But your pictures are making me want to get off the fence and start ordering parts. Looking forward to updates.
