Received my purpleheart neck last week and got some time today to tinker, cut and install a nut, etc.  Action / nut could use some more adjusting but overall it's in pretty good shape already.
Specs:
Neck (warmoth):
purpleheart / ebony
supernova inlays
SS6105 frets
1 3/4 nut width
ivory nut

Body (warmoth):
alder / quilted maple
stained purple / rattle can nitro gloss
Lollar blonde pickups

I'll continue to tinker with it (when am I not tinkering with a guitar?) and still want to burnish the neck too, but the overall look of the thing won't change much, so thought I'd post these pics.

When I read the title of the thread, I initially thought it said "Purpleheart Attack". Seems fitting... What a beaut!

At first look those Supernova inlays reminded me too much of my wife's Subaru, but seeing them on your guitar, they're kinda growing on me. Nice job Brother, more pictures please!  :icon_thumright:

You're right, Steve. Those inlays do look appropriate on this one. Very nice work.

I finally got around to taking some better pictures, with an actual camera.  Not much work has gone on in the meantime, a fair bit of setup work, and getting the nut cut and finished right.  I am quite happy with the playability at this point.  I also did burnish the purpleheart neck, which faded the color a little bit, but after a few weeks, it has come back nicely.  I do believe the neck is a tad bit flamed as well, and looks quite nice.  I got pretty lucky with the color of the neck, I guess, because it is a pretty darn close match to the back of the guitar itself.
