They've been making them for a while, but they are made in Korea, at least the cheaper ones are. Charvel does make some custom shop ones, but they ain't cheap...

I've seen some incredible work come out of Korea. It's not like it was 20 years ago, or like Japan was 40 years ago. They really know what they're doing these days. Also, I wouldn't call the products "cheap"; "inexpensive" would be a more appropriate word. The products themselves are often superb.

It is a limited edition Pro Stock. I haven't tried the said model (because it is quite new) - but some of the others and you can't really put a finger on anything quality-wise.

Which country it is made in has less impact on quality than the actual quality control performed. Gibson is made in the USA - and I'm not impressed.

True, I've got several Jackson Dinky's that are Jap made from the 90's. And back then the Jap stuff was better than the American made Dinky's..

But Cagey's right, not so much as cheap, as inexpensive.. :dontknow:

I think they are cool as shyt, and would love to have one. Mostly cause they're Charvel's, but the quality would be a factor. Plus they fact that china are dicks when it comes to selling our stuff, but yet we buy and sell all their cheap crap.... So screw 'em...
