Non WARMOTH: GFS questions answered

I have had a lot of PMs around this guitar and some general questions around GFS and the gold foil pick ups.  I put this guitar together for a tick under $400.  It is 100% GFS materials.  Overall I am satisfied with the quality and it plays well.  I would put in the category of a $500-$600 Asian made guitar....which is basically what it is...I just save a few bucks by screwing it together myself.  It plays and sounds fine.  It is a far cry from Warmoth quality, especially in the neck but a nice option for those on a budget.  I think the whole guitar cost less than my last custom Warmoth neck.

Enjoy.  I tried to play the same chords and scale notes for the demo

Thanks for throwing this together, nice lil review and I've always been a bit curious about the gold foils.

The bridge sounds like it could hold its own in PAF territory, but I think it would really shine in surf tone applications.

I'm more than impressed with the neck pickup.
