I've been around here quite a while now. Put together several nice guitars. Love 'em all. With the exception of the few that I've assembled for friends, all of my Warmoths have come out of the showcase. 1st a neck then a body to fit. Or find a nice body then wait for the right neck to come along. It's worked out real well every time.

Last fall I found a really great Tele body in the showcase. But after 3 months of watching, I just couldn't find a neck that fit into my vision of the finished piece.

I've converted to unfinished raw necks but this body screamed flame maple with a headstock painted to match the body. No matter how I tried to go raw I was stuck on the original concept. I also wanted to use a vintage modern neck on this one but wasn't able to work that out.

So I broke down in January and ordered exactly what I wanted. Sounds like a good thing but in reality having 2 months of waiting gave me a lot of time to re-think my idea and wonder if I made the right choices.

Yesterday I got the answer. YES!!!! It was worth it! Warmoth knocked it out of the park with this one! The pictures don't come close to showing the flame;

This is the back side, it's almost as nice as the SO fretboard;

And the finish is great! I still like raw/polished necks but you can't always get what you want and I wanted all maple and the painted headstock. But to be honest, after seeing the flame in this, I almost wish I'd left off the paint on the headstock.

Ooops! Almost forgot to tell you where it's going;

Sorry for the lame pictures. I even took some in sunlight but they washed out even more.
