New VIP option - chambered or hollow

I made my mum become a friend of warmoth of face book ( I don't have one ) and she saw the double F hole VIP's and accually considered buying one, before she then snapped back into reality.

Heel contour should be fine, but the thickness of the body precludes a tummy cut on the hollow one.  We kept it 1 3/4" in the middle just like the flat top, so it's actually thinner than a stock tele at the edge.  Very ergonomic!  The VIP is thicker, so the tummy cut's not a problem on that one.

I HATE to criticize here, but I really don't like the trad tele controls squeezed in right there on that second pic - Seems like if you've got two f-holes the pup selector should be in the upper horn (Les Paul style) or back in the PRS location. That pic looks like the controls would be too close to the strings.

I agree... I don't think I like that little bit of wood between the switch and the hole, too.

Just to be clear, the upper toggle will be available on the CT tele.  I am seriously digging the hollow CT tele!

Sign me up.  I'm really glad I held out before starting another project.  I almost went and bought a flattop LP recently, but I was sure there was something coming down the line that I wanted more.  Well, here it is.

I love life right now. All the bodies I was looking at in the showcase went down in price. New carved top tele. Man not having money to buy something is turning out great!


But now I dont ever want to buy anything because as soon as I do the next awesome thing will come out    :laughing7:
