Greetings,

Just got this neck in yesterday.  Had originally ordered, and received, an all roasted maple Warhawk neck.  Somewhere in the new build process, decided I wanted something else, something a little more custom.  This one is a 24.75" scale, Tiltback Strat, roasted maple shaft with black ebony fretboard, mother of pearl dots, standard thin, SS6115 frets.

Don't mind the body, in the process of sanding out some imperfections in this pic.

Very nice. I have been considering a tilt-back conversion neck for my T-60. As I can't seem to find much discussion on tilt-backs on the official Warmoth site maybe you could direct me to some info. Is the neck one-piece or are they using a scarf joint for the headstock?

I'm still in the process of finishing and what not, so can't speak it attached to the body, playing it.

It is a scarf joint.  I had requested a Jazzmaster headstock in the order.  Was contacted by a big W rep quickly, and he informed me that the biggest headstock they could do was the standard Strat headstock.  Not a big deal, and the W employee was very nice to deal with.

I'm an LP player first and foremost, and wanted to capture some of LP'ness in this guitar by using a 24.75" conversion neck, and a tilted headstock.  I don't think the tilted headstock does anything sonically, but I like the look.

I've read, but don't yet know, that the way the nut is cut is different in the geometry of how the string lays/slides across the nut for a tiltback.  It was suggested that more care was needed for the string cuts for smooth tremolo action.  Again, don't know, but now it's in the back of my head as a watchout.
