New short scale bass neck: the SSB Tiltback

Will there be others?  There's something about that shape that has always seemed slightly unbalanced in the 2+2 format.  I think it looks great when used on either a 5 or 6 string, but just seems not quite right as a 4.  :dontknow:

The SSB Tiltback necks are only available in the Showcase now, but will eventually make it to the Builder. We are working on a complete website redesign that will begin with the SSB family of products and ripple outwards from there. Getting the Tiltback to the Builder is part of that process. The update is still a ways away, but we are working hard on it every day....as well as on many new body and neck designs.

Hmm... this gives me an idea.

photoguy and I were just looking at that body the other day. It's going to be featured as part of the header on the new SSB G4SC page we're working on. The red is so deep and luscious! He said it reminded him of the perfect apple, but me....I only saw cranberry sauce.

Cranberry sauce is the best part of Turkey Day - that body looks just as delicious!

So what about short scale tilt back paddle necks?  I can imagine a nice Hofner-esque shortscale with Warmoth quality parts & woods, so a paddle would be nice.  I'm personally not a fan of the W-style 2+2, though I think it looks great on guitar as 3+3.

-Aw, man! I was thinking the same thing! Had my eye on that G4SC for a bit, now... but you go right on ahead! I'm not done with my current project yet, and I'm sure W won't leave us hangin' with these new neck designs and nothing to put 'em on!
