Just got this in yesterday. It's going to go on my goldtop tele deluxe that I posted a couple of weeks ago. I'm blown away by the fretboard. This was a piece that I selected, but I had no idea that it would be so crazy looking. I can't wait to get it set up and installed.

Crap, Dropbox links never work on my phone, and for whatever reason the forum software won't accept my photos.

Likely story...what a tease  :laughing7: Sounds like a score brotha!

Maybe this will work? I know it's not embedded, but maybe you can at least click the link to see it.

That's really sharp! You don't see pieces like that very often. Nice get!

Man that's gorgeous.  I've always worried about the strings catching in the grain, but for a bass guitar, that's obviously not a consideration.

Nice work, has a lot of personality. How does it all sound? Notice any particular differences with the roasted maple?

Thanks, man. It sounds really great. It's still a tele - lots of top end and twang, but it's got a lot of extra bottom end grunt. The neck is wonderful. I love the '59 neck carve. It definitely fills my hand, but it's still slim enough for lead work. I'm not sure how the roasted maple affects the tone, but it feels so good. This is my second warmoth unfinished neck, and I don't see myself going back to finished necks.
