New Neck Day!!!

I have a flamed koa headstock on a koa neck with an ebony 'board, and I had them put vintage clear gloss on it to get it to match up with the tiger eye wild maple body. Worked like a champ.

Someday, I'm going to put that bad boy together. This summer's just been ridiculous, though.

I'm doing about the same, using Flamed Koa to match the Spalted Maple top, here is the mock before the order, with a Showcase neck:
 
Wow. Spalted and curly in the same piece! Never going to see many of those around
 
That is an amazing neck Nando.....May I suggest a couple light coats of Deft nitro for the headstock, or Tru-oil... :icon_thumright:

It was a month ago, so the fingernail was getting loosy and I got it off, they I get a Zombie's Attack kind of smell and discovered I got a infection on my toe... But it's recovering! The dark red is the medicine I'm using...

glossed Koa looks fairly similar to my glossed Mahogany/Ebony neck.

NT I love that neck,  I see more and more people going without fret markers on the necks and I like this trend as most of us use the side dots anyway.

I bet the boys at Wormoth saw who ordered it and decided to find you the perfect piece of wood,

Alfang, could it be, but I paid for Unique Choice on the fretboard... But I agree that the Gonçalo and Koa are over the top too :D

Those look pretty interesting, I pondered the thought of buying one of those to. Seen it the other night whilst cruisin' the bay...I'd have to reshape the headstock tho... ~~

Yep, i'll do a tracing of my LP style headstock, and then attack it with a router
