Ehm... Both Norwegians and Brittish, Scottish, Welsh and Irish people are Scandinavians.
But I can say again that it is funky with a third norwegian guy here :icon_jokercolor:
I don't know about you guys, but it's a little too reddish for me

Har du drukket for meget hjemmebrændt?  :laughing7:

Or is this a special Norwegian definition of Scandinavia that we other Scandinavians do not know about?  ???

I think the red w/ gold appointments looks good. It's a natural match. Whole thing looks good.

What???  mayby 800 years ago  :icon_biggrin:

maybe Iceland or Finland.. I have to admit I sometimes mix up the terms Nordic and Scandinavian, but I sure don't know any irish, english welsh or scottish people who consider themselves Scandinavian.. (or Nordic)

:cool01: :cool01: :cool01: :cool01: Me...... after reading all your comments.

I have to say that I'm deeply touched by your comments. I note that some of you are negative to my choice of colors, but they were defined from the beginning.
Forty years into history, being in my late teens, I was playing together with some friends. I played some guitar and some drums, but mostly on my previous homebuilding experiment, a bass guitar with a homemade body and Höfner neck and pick-ups. In came one guy with THE guitar, a Gibson SG in red and gold. I was sick  :sad1:, I just wanted that guitar. Today, forty years yonder, I suppose I can say "I've fulfilled my old dream". :glasses9:

It's not that I, for one, dislike the color, it's just that I'm so tired of red/brown, even with only 3 guitars :tard:.... And I don't even have a Warmoth yet :toothy11:
Now, I'm pretty sure everyone here wants to know how yo like it... Maybe even a soundclip? :icon_jokercolor:

Also, on the scandinavian-soon-to-be-flame-war: Last time I heard (couple o' months ago) The Nordic countries, like Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark and the UK are considered to be "Scandinavian"

No - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia

250px-Scandinavia_location_map_definitions.PNG

Red =  the intra-Nordic usage: the three monarchies
Orange =    the extended usage: Nordic region, except Greenland and Svalbard
Yellow =  the maximal extent: synonymous with the entire Nordic region although Greenland is part of North America

And for the sake of clarity

Interesting!
also, I never realized that Schleswig-Holstein was considered (kind of) part of Scandinavia.

I never heard of Schleswig-Holstein, nor have I ever though of Greenland as either North America or Europe

edit* on looking at wikipedia i see it's just the north tip of Germany.
I figured it was the chunk of islands way up top.

Well - there is a notice about the Schleswig war. It is not saying that Schleswig is Scandinavian.  :dontknow:

The map does not indicate that either.

aha you're right..

I looked at the Wikipedia article and had the list of countries listed on the right.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia
but it doesn't actually say it is currently part of Scandinavia. my bad

No problem. Being a Dane and working in a history museum I have have some insider knowledge  :laughing7:

Q) How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?

A) 4  - Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

Abe Lincoln said that. Not sure what relevance it has here but I'm bored and my grandmother came to the US from Norway so there ya go.
