Didn't really plan on building this...it just kind of happened.

Started with the Turkey day sale.  Then, other parts just started accumulating.  Just soldered everything up, did a rough intonation and saddle height adjustment.  Still more set-up work to do.  Here are the specs:

It is pretty much an exact clone of Gilmour's black strat

Neck:
Warmoth, standard thin, 7.25", 21 fret, stainless steel 6150, white tusq nut, vintage tint
Body:
Warmoth, Alder, black gloss, 6 hole trem
Hardware from Warmoth:
Gotoh vintage 6 hole trem, Gotoh vintage tuners, 5 way switch, 250k pots, jackplate
Pickups:
Fender Fat 50 neck, Fender CS69 middle, Seymour Duncan SSL-5 bridge.  Bought as a set off Ebay
Misc:
Mini toggle switch, neckplate and aged white knobs with green lettering from Overdrive Custom Guitar works

Ended up building it for about 1/4 of the cost of a Fender Gilmour black strat.

So far, it sounds amazing, especially clean tones.  As of right now, it is my favorite guitar to play.  I think I actually prefer the 7.25" radius.

Agreed, very nice! Nice clean wiring job too.

What kind of pots - Bourns?

I've always wanted to do a version of Dave's candy apple red strat with the DG20 pickguard myself...

Yep, Bourns pots.  I think I bought those from Mouser, not Warmoth.

This was the first time I wired a top route strat.  There's really not a lot of room in the wiring cavity.  With that toggle switch, even less room.  The wiring had to be neat in order to fit.

I had to do some Dremel work to get that last tone pot to fit in the cavity.  I think Bourns pots are a little bigger than the CTS pots.

Mmm... I loves me some black & white or white and black Strats. That's a fine piece of work you've done there.

I did the exact same thing as my first Warmoth. It evolved into a sunburst strat with a Rosewood slab board, though.

Very very nice. Get yourself a Callaham bridge!
