Got to GC. Played a bunch of guitars. They had an old Alvarez Yairi, little scratched up but in great condition. Big dreadnough, cedar top. Sounded fantastic, everything I've ever loved about an acoustic guitar in one guitar. Addictive almost chimey sound on every note. Unfortunately, it was out of the price range and I'm not ready to get a guitar right now partially because the family's loaded the car and there's no room and I really don't have to money. So I had to let that guitar go. (weeping smiley)
BUT... this one really sounded almost as good and blew away ever Taylor, Martin, Gibson, and more expensive Breedloves at GC.

Didn't believe it either. Really interested.
The other one that came sorta close was a Seagull entourage mini-Jumbo (not finding them on MF or GC but they've got 'em in the actual stores).
So anyway, we'll see what happens. I was really surprised how great those two sounded. Really better than any Martin or Taylor there for what I play (didn't do a lot of big strumming testing but for fingerpicking and hybrid picking/strumming, they blew me away).
So I'm closer to a decision. Really like Cedar. Really like a smaller body (kinda Grand Concertish).
