New guitar concept... Twilight Zone

Okay so I'm thinking about a Twilight Zone inspired SG.  It would look kinda like this:

Buuuuut... I would use a translucent white finish over either black korina or zebrawood.  Then I would use some sort of on-board effect that would make it sound kind of spacey.  I don't know what though.  In an ideal world I would shrink a Space Echo and shove it into the guitar so it is part of it.

I need to win the lottery so I can see all of these crazy notions become reality.

That would be alot of shrinking, but I think it is do able space cadet.  Among things like this I have wondered if I could integrate a feedback panic switch, or a diode distortion circuit using a blue LED as the diode.  I have made the diode circuit with blue LED before and it was a nice articulate crunchy fuzz.  I kind of want to make a pedal using that as one of the settings again.  Cool concept guitar. :rock-on:

...feedback panic switch sounds highly intriguing.  Gah, I need to stop thinking about this.  Major GAS.  I'm gonna need some Gas-X to get rid of this wanting!

Bigsby and regular TOM version.  I don't know why kisekae now includes a cat in their options, but he looked good with the guitar.  "I can haz essgeee??"

+1 for Cats!  :toothy12:

I would hit that cat with that guitar. I can't take this anymore. I've been biting my tongue for soooo long. I have been reading all of this kitty cat garbage and it makes me sick. I hate cats. Cats are evil. Cats are creepy. Cats have no boundries. They climb all over everthing. They act like they own the place. They are always in a bitchy mood. They look at you with this what the eff are you looking at look on their face. They will sit in your spot and claw you if you move them or hiss at you. They walk around with their nose and butt up in the air. They piss me off. They kind of remind me of women.

Sounds like you don't know how to handle them.  I have 4 cats, 1 wife and none of them do any of those things.  If your felines/females have no boundaries then its because you haven't established any (or their owner hasn't).

With that kind of attitude, its no wonder they are in a bitchy mood and give you a 'WTF look'.

Nah, really I have just known a few really screwed up cat people. The kind that allow the cats to climb on the dining room table and kitchen counters. That sort of thing. One lady had 4 cats that she just adored yet she wouldn't properly care for them. One cat had a folded towel on top of the stove that was his bed. Another cat would constantly brush against a bedroom door as he would walk in and there was dirt stain from it. The woman had her spot on the couch and the cats would sit up there with her and she would routinely just peel the layer of cat hair off of the arm of the sofa. Don't even get me started on her letting the cats lick her mouth. That is so disgusting. The woman didn't even hug her children.

No way that's nasty, my rule is cat's don't get on the table or counters, or bother people while they are eating.  They were all trained by the word NO used in conjunction with a squirt gun.  They are all pretty well behaved and loveable critters.

Don't know if they're any good at all, but GFS makes these little FX boards to put inside a guitar:

Those look cool.  I want to see a demo though, and I can't find any videos or recordings of them in action.

I meant because they are such majestic creatures. They are beautiful to look at. They are graceful and sooo compassionate and loyal and are lifelong companions. They can brighten up a day with an unexpected gesture.  :laughing7:

it needs to be boosted for the diode to clip, i dont know the turn on voltage for an led off the top of my head but im sure it is far greater than the guitar puts out, but you could use a schotty diode without the boost. have you seen those black ice "passive overdrive" boxes that replace the tone cap? basically two schottky diodes.

Oh heck yes, active for sure, that's why I liked it as a guitar pedal.  The cool thing is even LED's have slightly different knee voltages than germanium or silicon diodes, etc.  It's all attributed to whatever element they doped it with to make it glow that color.  The blue LED doesn't actually light up from what I could remember from it, but that did make a good distortion. I made a guitar pedal as my senior project in college that had that, a tube preamp, and a tone selector circuit.  Fun times

Speaking of diodes, I saw this a while back.  It looks like a fun project, and I do have the pedal for it.
