Well actually the body came over a year ago but I just didn't get around to completing or doing anything much to it.

The story was the I previously had another body that ran into severe finish problems when it was getting put together at a local shop. (Which you can see at my previous thread here - http://unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=19257.0)

Fast forward a couple months, the shop compensated me by footing the bill for this body. Which then I never got around to finishing because I went on the search for another tech who could do what I needed without any further issues. Anyways, I ended up using the neck I had for another guitar (which I just posted pics of! lookee here - http://unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=23499.0), so I'm probably going to get another neck from Warmoth at some point to finish this one up.

Ok, enough of the rambling, here come the pictures  :toothy12:

and then since there's only so many photos one can take of a guitar body, I ended up taking some arty-farty photos with the other completed Warmoth.

Maybe I'll end up completing this one in another 2 years or so?  :dontknow:

Wow! Is that Warmoth's black dye? It looks really sharp, I hope you'll find a nice neck for it, it's too bad to see this kind of body sitting idle.

yep black dye!

jumble, that's just some strange grain pattern going on there  :laughing8: small knot maybe

WOW!!! Both of those guitars are pure STUNNERS!
Where'd you get those gorgeous white knobs on that tele?

Sharp! Plus, as a photo buff of sorts, I really dig that second pic of the interlocking horns.

Hopefully I'll be able to complete that picture in the near future by finding a suitable neck!

Right now I'm undecided between going with mahogany/rosewood/satin finish, maple/maple/satin finish, or continue getting rosewood/rosewood necks like the last couple.

I thought the maple would look sharp against the black dye, but not sure whether it'll make it look like too much of a shreddy guitar (as you can tell, shred's totally not my thing!)

Checked out the old Thread. What happened to the old body that was damaged by the builder? Doesn't say what happened after you got compensated?

Nice black dye on that newer Strat body tho.  :icon_thumright:

Well Re-Pete, they covered the entire cost of the new black dye body and kept the old body. They had offered to send it to a professional luthier for refinishing but that entailed shipment to another neighbouring country and having no idea of the quality so I suggested that they just replace the body for me and they can do whatever they want with the old body. At least that was the end of that headache!
