New 1.650 neck opinion.

As a lover of the 1 5/8s nut width, I ordered a 1.650 to see how it felt and compared. 
So far, my opinion is the 1.650 width feels more like the 1 11/16s than it does the 1 5/8s. 
Maybe this will help anyone mulling whether to get a 1.650.

Interesting. I think 1.650 feels more like 1 5/8 than 1 11/16, and I too prefer a narrower nut.

Maybe it’s mine. It’s technically 1.68, which is actually 1 11/16s. 
To me though, I’m not getting the thumb over as smoothly as I do with the narrower ones.

Mathmatistically wise, 1.650 is closer to 1.625 than 1.687, ja? But them joints be hand sanded so there's always gonna be some variation. I haven't played a 1.65 yet, but I want to - it seems like a good compromise. I can't wait to get back on stage and scream "DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE NOTES THAT ARE COMMIN' OUTTA MY 'MOTH?"

Yep, that's how I judge them, too. 1 5/8 nut, 7.25" fretboard radius, the thumb practically lives over the top.

I’m warming up to it, it def has a different feel, but I’m beginning to dig it.
