Need pics of WGD headstock strung please.

I am not a fan of the look of the Telecaster headstock, but I respect its tuning stability for in line alignment.

Can someone please post pics of the WGD headstock strung?
Maybe a close up of the nut please.
And/or recount their own personal experience with the headstock in terms of tuning stability?

I wasn't aware of the WGD body having it's own headstock.  I think most people use the Warmoth or LP headstocks to go with the WGD body.
The Variax headstock has the straightest string pull of the 3x3, if that's what you're after.

But you were right about me wanting the straightest string pull of the 3+3's.

I am looking at the neck builder and the Variax looks very similar to the Warmoth and the Wider Warmoth headstock, if I may ask is the difference? What is the history/nature of the Variax?

I have heard from one of the current or former W workers that the Variax has the straightest pull.  It is similar to the Warmoth, but the holes are parallel to one another instead of staggered.
The Variax headstock looks like it's either modeled after, or is actually licensed.

This is my Wenge Warmoth headstock, with Floyd Rose nut.  String pull may not be as extreme with a regular nut.

Glorious New neck day comes but once a year if I'm lucky, and this year I need a replacement. And if I am going to thump down a chunk, I want it to be as timeles$ and perfect for as long as I can project.

I too like the asymmetrical shape of the Warmoth headstock, and I like the idea of staggered peg holes aesthetically speaking, but...I also like the idea of

cold
"ice
in
my
veins", straight string pull (angled headstock is fine). I ripped that lyric from Avenged Sevenfold o7  :headbang:

Might I trouble you guys for a closeup of a Variax headstock please?
I noticed an option for "?" Custom Headstock.

Maybe you guys have some suggestions  ???  :help:

What body shape? I really like the Warhead peghead shape. And I'm 99% sure it's straight string pull. But the Variax is as well. There was a guy who built a VIP with it a while ago and it looked great. His username was MetalManiac (I think...) but I don't think he's a member here any longer.

Pretty sure Cagey has a Warhead on a VIP.  The Warhead, Strat, Tele all have the same functional dimensions of nut & tuner placement.  If you don't mind the upcharge you can have a strat turned into a warhead or tele shape for an upcharge (probably $45).

I love that guitar since the first time I saw it. It has been passed around the forum a bit. I have the body sitting on my bench now in the process of a slight makeover. Now I need a neck for it. :headbang1:

This is more of what I had in mind. Its not a template offered in your neck builder, but its not too far from the W headstock shape, and there IS a choice for Custom. Please excuse the crudeness.

Basically what I'm looking for is mostly the Warmoth headstock shape (3+3, staggered tuning peg routes) Straight string pull would be ideal, but if not its cool.

The 3rd one down with the arrow pointing at it. Or in this case, the second one from the left because for some reason I cannot rotate pictures 90 degrees anymore.

Somebody had a headstock made very similar to the one you've pointed out there that I think you can actually order from Warmoth now. I don't remember whose guitar it was, but it was a custom flame paint job on a Strat. Maybe someone with a better memory than mine can help us out here...

You are right AutoBat that is the one  Both from DbU, its a Warmoth "DbU" headstock
unique to him.
