Necks: right hand reverse vs left handed

I'm not understanding why this is even a discussion.
You can order any neck you want with a reverse headstock or standard headstock, so why even bother with swapping a lefty neck onto a righty body?

If your read the original post, the OP is trying to save money on a build.

Yeah, basically there are some dirt cheap left handed necks in the showcase... So I was curious

I'm not part of the "other half". I only have 2 of those necks so far.
