My vacation to New Orleans....

Looks like a great trip. The influence of Native America, French Creole, and Southern Hospitality make it a unique place on Earth for sure. History and culture and cuisine all wrapped up in a humidity smothered blanket. What's not to love?

Oh man...we ate so much good food. My favorite meal of the whole trip was the Jam-burrito...a burrito made with jambalaya - which included alligator sausage. We had alligator on several other occasions too. I found that I also really like catfish!
LOL, you've never had catfish before?  :icon_biggrin:

Nope. I am from the PNW. We eat salmon here. :)

I have always had the preconception that catfish was some kind of trashy garbage fish. If it is, it is delicious trashy garbage fish. Another catfish po' boy please!  :toothy12:

Yes, I'm aware of the fish in PNW, I've lived up there and I love salmon. Wild catfish is probably considered a trash fish, but most in restaurants down here are farm raised..
