My Tele Deluxe, first build.

Shame I can't order the neck until the new year. Also, this body is meant to be a 'blem' although I'm having trouble even finding the blemish. Rock on.

Here's a few pics. I have one question, I can't help but think that the jack socket looks a bit small...it is listed as 7/8ths on the invoice and according to Warmoth's site, the Electrosocket should fit the 7/8ths hole fine, only I can't help but think mine looks a bit small. I guess it's because I'm used to normally looking at the Tele jack cup with it's overhang bit that makes the hole look bigger than it is, I hope.

That's going to be a great build.  What color pickguard will you be using, and what sort of neck are you thinking?  Oh, while we're at it... what pickups and tuners?

very nice! and from my strat build (also a 7/8" jack) the electrosocket never fit completely flush with the body  ???  not sure if it should and mine was a bit small also, or if i should have sanded some finish back, or if it was fine. i left it as it was, just because i figured if i wanted it completely flush i could go back and sand the jack hole down.

anyway, that should be one top notch build! this board is going to be flooded with Tele Deluxe's in the next month or so!

I'm sure it fine, but no pics are posted.  If modification is needed, it's always better to start smaller.

What color is that?  Vintage White or Cream?  Looks great.  Most any color pickguard will work great with that.  Tortoise, Black, Mint, Parchment, Pearloid, whatever.

I would just put an LP style plate on it and be done with it, either square or football. Makes maintenance a bit easier, is bulletproof and looks custom.
Edit: Great body by the way! Cool to see all the sale guitars starting to come to life.

Thanks for the replies guys, I will probably just go for the LP style jack plate on it, less messing about.

The body is Vintage White. I'm either going to put a black or tortoise shell guard on it - I'm actually thinking a single ply matte black guard would be really cool.

Probably going for a Padouk neck with Zircote fingerboard, Sperzel tuners, Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queen humbucker-sized P90s. It's gonna rock!

Looks like the neck pocket area was touched up.

if this was phrygian's then it was the neck pocket, the bottom side of it i believe, and i can from the top pic see the marks from the chipped off paintwork but see if they are still there, and that will be your blemish if it was phrygian's if not then they re painted specially to help but still listed as blemished, but good on you not caring about small blemishes  :icon_thumright:

mine's pretty damn close, but not quite. hard to tell here, but this is about what mine looks like, but mine has a bit more of a gap

EDIT: and not to completely hi-jack somebody else's thread, but my electrosocket is EXTREMELY snug with the cable. anybody know if it's supposed to be that way? i figure it's more of a good thing than a bad thing (since a cable getting pulled out is very annoying/embarrassing) but i'm afraid it might be wearing something down to have to be forced in and pulled back out so hard. any easy solution i don't know of?

Stick a screwdriver in there and bend the tips outwards just a bit, not too much.

ok, i'll try that. that was the only thing that i could think of that might have been the problem, but i was afraid to mess with it too much because once that breaks i'm out one input jack.

I decided to order an LP plate also.  So now I have an elctrosocket, a black Deluxe pickguard, and witch hat knobs that I will probably never use.

same here. i originally thought i wanted an electrosocket in my tele deluxe, but after thinking about what a pain it was to install on my last warmoth i think i'll go with a square plate. i ordered a football plate too, just to see what they both look like and decide from there
