The Electrosocket seems like it could be a bit too much messing about, think I'll just go with a LP plate.

So wait, Phyrigian owned this body already, and sent it back?

I decided to order an LP plate also.  So now I have an elctrosocket, a black Deluxe pickguard, and witch hat knobs that I will probably never use.

If you want to sell the pickguard and knobs, I'm just a PM away ;)

same here. i originally thought i wanted an electrosocket in my tele deluxe, but after thinking about what a pain it was to install on my last warmoth i think i'll go with a square plate. i ordered a football plate too, just to see what they both look like and decide from there

Pictures please when you compare them

I had sand the hole slightly on both of my Warmoths and the Electrosocket slid right in snuggly. Not a big deal.  :icon_thumright:
Same here, thirty seconds with a Dremel sanding drum and it fit nice.

So it still hangs out a bit? Anyone have a pic? I would much rather this than a LP style plate, it looks much nicer.

Well, I ordered the neck yesterday - Padouk with a Ziricote board. SS frets with a black TUSQ nut. Can't wait to get it. I also found a deal on some bare knuckle pickups to put in it. It's coming together quite fast, hopefully it should be completed by early March. My gf also bought me some Sperzel tuners for it for xmas.

I will post pics when the neck comes in.

Well the neck and tuners just arrived. The neck is beautiful and the SS frets and nut really are killer. The only issue is that the neck pocket doesn't seem that tight, there is a mm or so of space. I'm hoping my tech can just put a thin shaving of wood down there or something to stop it moving around. Gonna order the bare knuckles for it next week, it should be a killer guitar. The Standard Thin profile definitely is a bit thinner than a US Std. Fender but not enough to cause a problem; I  think it should be very comfy. The sperzels fit beautifully too, here are some pics.

Wow... that neck looks sweet!  I don't think I've seen many close-ups of Padouk.  FYI, one of my complaints with the body was how loose the neck pocket was.  I talked about it on the phone with Rob right before I got an RA#, but I don't know if I posted about it.  I wasn't sure at the time if it was the neck or the body.

I guess once it's bolted down it'll be fine. The neck is awesome, it really does look great.

The 7/8" hole IS a true 7/8"... before finishing.  I always have to take a file/sandpaper and enlarge my ferrule holes, and output jack hole, before installing anything.

For me, standard procedure...

I'll bare that in mind. The neck lined up fine when it was bolted on, I hope string alignment is gonna be fine. It's coming together nicely though, nice to have it standing up bolted together with my other guitar. Here's a few more pics, literally just put the tuners on. I'll be ordering the last stuff within a week, should be done by the end of the month. It'll be nice to play it at our next show on the 30th although I'm not holding my breath  -

I think the issue with Electrosockets and Warmoth is that W telecasters don't have the flat section on the perimeter of the body like F telecasters. As a consequence, it protrudes slightly.

+1 on quitting smoking. Only because the $ could be used to buy guitars.
