My one contribution to the sale

My teacher bought this during the sale and I put it together last night - it's a warmoth canary / ebony J bass neck, obviously. I put it on his main stage guitar, a 62 reissue Jazz that spends a lot of time on the road as you can see. The stupid reissue tuners need divots drilled behind them because the stamped housings have little tabs that stick up. Had to break out the dremel and I was sweating that a bit.
The canary looks great, more like a vintaged maple neck than it seems in photos, and feels like all the good exotic necks do - great. He is not really into gear hounding but couldn't get enough of my wenge bass neck, so he had to Warmoth as we all do eventually.

Cool.  :icon_biggrin:
I've never seen a Canary Jazz neck before, that looks awesome.
It could almost pass for a tinted Maple neck from a distance.

They put speed bumps on the fingerboard though.  :blob7:

Heh.  I've always referred to them as "training wheels".

Very nice neck!

When somebody can't play a bass properly, "training wheels" can be a harsh term to hear, so "speed bumps" sounds a bit kinder.

Well he plays it well enough to get on French TV and festivals around Europe, he makes a living from it. Yep it's the same bass.
