What, no shield love for the output jack? :laughing7:

Hmm, is that necessary? O :icon_scratch:

It's all a waste of time/energy/money, but it doesn't hurt anything. The foil-lined pickup/control cavity "improvement" is just another one of those myths that keep on giving, like lacquer sounding better than polyurethane, or "vintage" hardware being worth installing.

With noiseless or "humbucking" pickups, you want shielded wire/cables running between the pickup(s)/switch(es)/pot(s)/output or you'll pick up a surprising amount of noise, but with single coils there's little you can do that's effective.

That's why so much time/money/energy has been and is still being expended trying to get noiseless pickups to sound like single coils. They've accomplished that pretty successfully, but depending who you talk to, there are still some minor differences that keep true singles from obsolescence.

I've been lusting after a set of those myself. They're pretty dear around here, though. I don't know if it's shipping, taxes, tariffs, the exchange rate, or just his asking price, but you've got to want a set of those pretty bad to pony up that kind of dough for pickups.

I was going to say Cagey would say that shielding is like screen doors on a submarine, but you didn't say it.

I bought a woodstock plus with k9-system, lets se if it was worth it, I just wanted the best parts I could think of to this guitar, didn't really care about the money! Bud maybe I should have spend it on a mesa boogie lonestar instead of luxury parts for the guitar  :icon_scratch: :laughing7:

Hehe! Well, I wouldn't put it quite that baldly, since there are instances where shielding is a Good Thing, but the whole lining the cavities thing is largely a waste of time since you have several large holes in it where the pickups poke through.
