Really like the wood grain look, inspired by this

Thinking it would be cool to make it like aged raw wood with some metal rusted look. with this idea, just find a Bocote neck with wood grain to match on 20% off Screamin' Deals, so I order it.

One PS design  idea, need test to find out is the rusted effect paint can achieve this

Seems like a helluva waste of good roasted Swamp Ash.

Also, putting filters on the shot with Photoshop won't show representative results in real life at all. That wood really changes color when finished. Even just clear coat changes it dramatically .

yes , the PS just to have a preview idea how far and what direction to go .

need some testing on real wood later, before doing it on the ash body.

Aaron did a video on the roasted Swamp Ash you might want to watch. At about the 3 minute mark, he shows a raw body vs. a clear coated body. If you didn't know any better, you'd swear it was stained.

i have seemed that video long time ago when it on youtube .

if I just need that, can just simply pay Warmoth to do it.

what I want is " it would be cool to make it like aged raw wood "  :headbang4:

That will come together nicely. With that neck, I'd be tempted to just go with clear on the body.

rusted effect test, as Roasted Ash can turn quite a dark brown, I mainly use a dark brown wood for teasing, but also with some light colors wood.

If done right, I also think that could work.
However, I'd go with either a plain black or white pickguard.

I think it might be neat to have a pickguard made of a material like (thin) copper or brass.  You can pretty easily oxidize those materials using household products for a cool patina look.

I worry that may get too heavy, but I can copper leaf the pickguard if go for that direction.
