1.Shielding-I had to go back and dig deeper to allow wires to go under the pickups and pots.
2.Shielding,Seymour pickups ,Neck selector switch, and 5 way superswitch (1 card per neck)
3.Emerson Paper in oil cap for 12/ Orange drop for 6 string
4.Shims for a 20" radius on Floyd Rose
5.470k Ohm resistor on the YJM neck pickup as the 6 string neck is attached to 1 volume(500k)and 1 Tone (500k) which work well on the Custom Custom Humbucker and the cool rails, but the neck YJM Fury has the resistor
6.Hapm Tuners by Gotoh on the 12 string (Height adjustable posts)
7.Custom Made Ibeam Case with allowance for closing the case on the floyd rose.
8. Completed March guitar of the Month
9.Back ferrules for 6 of the 12 strings -the other 6 go through the bridge
10.Extra Holes to accommodate the 6 string Volume and The neck selector switch

Here is the Jangle of the bridge and neck single coils (I wired the centre position of the switch tis way instead of the traditional middle pickup only position).Lots of old school Jangle here with the nickel flat wound pyramid strings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWYkYpDZSC8

Very cool. Awesome build and sweet playing :icon_thumright:

Is the little mini switch the one used for selecting what neck is used? Is it either or can you also have both necks on at the same time?

http://www.stewmac.com/Pickups_and_Electronics/Pedal_Kits_and_Parts/Mini_Toggle_Switches_SPDT.html I have the ON/OFF/ON Switch . I have another double neck and you can have both necks on at the same time ,but I never really bother with that.

Cool version of Voodoo Child (Slight Return).

How do you find having the 12 string neck on the bottom versus for example on an EDS1275 12 string neck being the top neck?

I have an EDS1275 12 from 1982 and always thought I would like the 12 on the bottom more. I was right. Since I never much do any serious picking on the 12 string , I can set the 6 to the most comfortable height, then I can chord or do some light (wanted dead or alive) type picking if the guitar was to my knees if I had to. Also the way the neck pockets are staggered and the strat shape make for a well balanced double neck . The Gibson is not, You have to be holding it up the whole time .Very top heavy.Steuart Smith form the Eagles has the 12 on the bottom as well. May be a new Trend!!!!!

Thanks, it also looks a little more balanced with the 12 on the bottom as the tip of the headstocks is about a similar distance from each other. With the 12 on top, I guess it would protrude further.

Completely Agree- Warmoth has a Gem in this design. One concern I had with the 12 on the bottom was the Floyd Rose arm on the 6 string - But with a bit of blue loctite thread locker on the floyd arm, I have it just tight enough to move upwards and out of the way as you can see in the 12 string video.

Since I posted yesterday I remembered seeing Yngwie playing a double neck on a Japanese video. Anyway, I wondered which way round the 6 /12 necks were. I found this video.

It seems the body is slightly less offset than the Warmoth. I wonder how the Warmoth looks with the 12 neck on top. Also the Tele style. I know on the Warmoth site the Tele example body is routed for the 12 on top, but I have not been able to find many photos of completed or mocked up builds.

I think it will make quite a showpiece. that said it does not seem like the most practical guitr out there. But looks great and if it plays the same its all good.

Check out Jamie John's videos. He seems to be getting some good playing and tones from it.
