First post, first build/assembly.
I lurked and learned from you guys for over a year, ordered, and put together.
The aesthetic is my vision of the rock guitar ... influenced by so many different artists and instruments.
I don't call myself a player but it sounds beautiful to me ... assembled by my hands.
When I hold it, it is mine, all mine.

Carvin neck: one-piece KOA
Warmoth LP body: solid mahogony, carved flame maple
Tone controls are push-push for coil splits
Sperzel locking tuners

I like it, and I'm not really an LP guy. The neck pup position doesn't bother me one bit, and I like the Jackson neck. Mostly, I love the burst finish! Good job, and welcome!

Nice LP!  :laughing7:

Do Warmoth ever make a bad-looking maple top...? I've seen none so far  :icon_thumright:

That's an awesome looking burst - did you spray it, or is that a wet-surface pad-applied job? I'm not nuts about Carvin's pointy metal-guitar headstock, but that's a matter of taste - their manufacturing quality is excellent.  Very well executed.

And welcome -  we're glad  you're here to share!

Thanks for the comments all --- it's been awhile since my last visit with work and all.

Bagman - the finish is wet applied dye. Amber and Black. On top of that is poly wipe on. All General Finish products. Last touch was a steel wool buff-out ... it's an odd process but produced a somewhat worn out or aged finish. Not "aged" as overused but "aged" as in a finish that has been in place a long time.
