I figure I'll throw this up here:

as it says in the description, I used my Warmoth Jaguar Bass for this cover. I had the bridge humbucker selected in parallel mode. for the amp modeling, I used Amplitube 3, and utilized a dual Acoustic 360 rig. one was EQ'd for highs, one was EQ'd for lows. the only overdubs were the distorted parts. other than that, it was all recorded live in one take.

thank you :)

I'm currently trying to learn River People. after that, Bach's Chromatic Fantasy, then going to try to shoot for Havona. I'm trying to learn a bunch of Jaco to get my chops back up to where they used to be because I've become dissatisfied with my playing over the past year. I've already noticed some improvement in my general playing after practicing a few hours a day just about every day. If I can get Havona down, I'm going to stretch out and start learning some Paul Gilbert stuff. should be fun.

it is in standard tuning. and I haven't heard Trey Gunn's version. I'll look it up, though.

As far as I know, he only played it as a member of the Robert Fripp String Quintet in the early nineties. DGM Live has a couple of their (very excellent) concerts for sale.
