Thanks TK4261 & Tony. No I wasn't planning on a pickguard.
The plastic details, pickups, mounting rings, knob and so on, will be cream.

@ghotiphry: that one is pretty much identical to the one that's already on my 7/8 strat - a roasted maple one. I will in fact replace the old one on the 7/8 strat with this new one. The difference being the neck profile. Instead of a standard thin the new one is a 59 profile neck. I hope (and believe) that profile will be gentler on my left hand. It also has an ordinary Tusq nut instead of the Earvana nut that I wasn't completely happy with.

I actually wasn't going for a pickguard at all - this is a rear routed body.
@Axkoa; I am going for super simple, just like on my Strat: a pickup selector (toggle) and a volume.
