There is a fairly common mod where people replace the standard Mustang bridge with a tune-o-matic, and in fact Warmoth offer TOM sized holes on their Mustang and Jagstang bodies.
However, I've always thought that a (non-recessed) TOM bridge required an angled neck pocket to get the strings at the right height.
So… do Jagstang/Mustang bodies have angled necks, or is there something I'm missing about the Mustang style bridge that makes this unnecessary?
As a side question, is there any reason why Warmoth don't offer alternative bridge options for these body styles? From looking at the pictures I'd guess it's because the pickguards are designed to fit around the traditional Mustang bridge and any other bridge might look weird or not fit with the pickguard.
