so tempted to start a new build...

maybe without the bass side pickguard, with a simple satin vintage tint maple/maple neck (Warmoth or Vortex style since I've been using them on all the recent builds and like the 3x3 layout). I'm thinking Lollar Imperial humbuckers, 4-conductor with a rotary switch in the last knob position to control coil split, out of phase or any other pickup shenanigans. Or perhaps just go simple and use 2-con humbuckers with just the good ol' master vol, master tone and 3 way switch?

slap a dusenberg tremolo on there using their TOM/stoptail adapter, together with a roller bridge..

would sure make a nice classy offset guitar, no?  :icon_scratch:

That would be EPIC with a raised centre section like a thunderbird.

coincidentally, when Warmoth was clearing out the Gibson style parts, I very nearly bought one of the firebird necks. I was playing around with the idea of a firebird neck with a jazz master body then, think it would have been pretty unique! Sadly they all sold out while I was still thinking about it. Well, if anyone has a spare firebird neck lying around, let me know ;)
