Not sure if Warmoth's cream pickguard material will match your cream pickup covers?

Wondering if the Mint is more green or gray?

Want to check out what Tortoise looks like before you order?

Well...your wildest dreams have just come true! No more guessing. You can now request and receive up to three pickguard swatches...for FREE. Did I say for FREE? It's for FREE, and just one more reason Warmoth's outstanding customer service is the best in the biz.

The swatch picker is now visible on any pickguard page on the Warmoth website. The Strat® pickguard page, for example.

This is pretty cool. I ordered swatches in three different colors of pearl day before yesterday. This is such a good service. :icon_thumright:

Cool...you're one of the first. You'll be a good test subject. :) Let us know how soon they show up!

Will do. I've often wondered what some of these actually look like. Now that I'm planning a pearl PG, this will work out great.

Only 3? Chandler (Paul C's) and WD pickguards used to offer keychains with samples of each material they offered! I probably still have a couple in boxes somewhere....

It would be widely accepted if the swatches were 10" x 16".  :icon_biggrin:

Ordered mine! This is great timing as I've been thinking of doing some changes to my fiesta red Strat. Warmoth delivers again!

Heard about this a couple of days ago. And even though it’s only offered for shipping in the US, I ordered my three ones yesterday. Thanks to one of you guys (ie you who live in US) I chose mine, will have them delivered to R. in the US and he in turn has graciously agreed to send them to me in Sweden.
So a big thanks to Warmoth and to R.

:occasion14:

I ordered my swatches and it took three days to go from the West Coast to the East Coast, which is pretty darn fast (mailed on the 6th arrived on the 9th).  I thought I was hallucinating when I first saw it because I was wondering why I had never noticed "the swatchpicker" before.

The swatches they sent me where all beautiful, which makes picking a favorite really hard, but more fun.

Thank you Big-W.

Aaron (or anyone who knows) - Which plain black patch would best match with the current rear control cavity cover? The choices are .09 or .06 for thickness and Glossy or Matte for shine. I am experimenting with other colors, too, so thank you!

I believe .06 Matte is what we use for rear our cavity covers.

EDIT: it is actually .09 Matte. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry, I was a little slow on this thread. The covers we use are .09 Matte. But the .06 Matte is the same Matte finish.

Okay, thank you! So... if I understand correctly... .09 Matte is the one to match the same shine and thickness as the back cavity cover that always gets shipped with the guitar.

So a follow-up question... is the .09 thickness the normal thickness of the various pickguard pieces? I appreciate all this info!

The thicknesses vary. You will find dimensions and descriptions for all of Warmoth's pickguard materials here.

My swatches arrived. What a boon to us builders. I placed the order Saturday, which really means the order was placed first thing Monday. So, order in Monday, arrived on Thursday. Three days is a good delivery time.

Two of them don't look anything like they do online. So my three choices turned instantly into one. Of benefit also is the little sticker on each one that tells the thickness, material, # of layers and gloss or matte finish.

Warmoth does it again. :icon_thumright:

Edit: I got to looking at the swatches and they looked a little too far off color. So I peeled them off the tape strip and found I was looking at the backs. LOL. So, now I have three good choices again. :tard:
