Ha! This reminds me of a joke...

A man is sitting in his kitchen crying. His wife comes in and says "What's wrong, honey? Why are you crying?" and the man replies "You remember 25 years ago, when you were 17 and we were caught having sex in the back seat of my car? And your father said that I had the choice to marry you or go to jail for statutory rape?" his wife says "Well, yeah...." and the man looks at her and says "I would have been released today."

He should have taken jail.  Maximum sentencing for unforced statutory rape is 5 years, and they usually get out in 2 1/2.  Of course, he would have to be a registered sex offender, and that would probably destroy his whole life.

My first anniversary is coming up in a couple weeks.  We have no clue what we're doing to mark the occasion yet.

We'll be celebrating 20 years this August and have been together almost 23 years.  Dang, I'm old enough to be Max's dad......
