Here are a couple of out of the box photos for you.  Not quite new from Warmoth, but via Tonar.  The shipping was done really quite quickly by USPS  and UK parcel force, just UK Customs took a while with it but its all good and arrived safe and sound.

This used to be part of a guitar Tonar built called Max, and as my grandson's name is Max, it looks like it always will be.

A set of L/H F tuners, I obtained in the meantime. F tuners, not going to fit a standard set of holes, but this is going to be a fun guitar to do.

Thank you so much Tonar, the body looks great with a little genuine minor wear here and there and I am sure I will like the special order cryogenically treated Fralin Hendrix/SRV from Callaham pickups.

I'll post some pics of parts as I get them. I have two projects in progress now so it wont be the fastest parts gathering and build in the world.

Now all I have to do is gradually acquire a neck and some other bits and pieces and if I don't see you no more in this thread I'll see you in the build thread... Don't be late...

The F tuners will fit the CBS style headstock IIRC, and as that is a flipped hendrix strat, I would recommend that style in a right hand reverse.
Just my nickel's worth of input...

Yes it will definitely have a large flipped headstock. No bullet truss rod though as the Woodstock guitar was prior to that.

On the F tuners I recall a thread a little while ago on the forum, where someone could not get them to fit. After reading around it seems that the reissue F tuners versus the ones made from around 68 and into the seventies, were made by schaller and have Germany written on the back but are slightly bigger so require a slightly greater distance Centre to centre E to E string than standard tuners.

Anyway in any event I'll update with what I find.

Check on it but I am pretty sure the spacing on the CBS neck is ok, I could be wrong...
Report back and let us know, I am supposed to be building a 70's Deluxe clone for a client soon, and I want it as dead nuts as possible.

I'll see what I can find. However I dont have a WArmoth CBS neck to measure centre to centre between the E strings. I do however have a Fender with F tuners which i can measure.

Good to see it made it over the pond and safely to you! I look forward to it getting put back together.

Thanks Frank,

And a quick update.

I ordered a non Warmoth neck for this one which is a Maple cap slab style which Fender only made in 68 similar to the one on the Strat that Jimi, used at Woodstock. The neck has just cleared customs so I expect it to arrive with me perhaps Monday/ Tuesday.

I've also been out today sourcing some Callaham parts, at Charlie Chandler's Guitar Experience and I  have some of them and some to follow.

I'm pretty excited by this build and the guitar has tended to almost design itself. Normally I would tend to the more modern parts and so on but this will have some modern twists like stainless steel frets but other than that I'm trying to keep it close to what it's clearly inspired by.
