We are now announcing the March, 2020 Guitar of the Month contest!  March's contest will be "Warmoth/professionally finished" and requires at least a Warmoth neck or body to qualify.

Please read the GOM rules, which have been refined, with some slight changes, and are posted in a sticky in this forum area.

Submissions must be sent to uwfgom@gmail.com, and contain two images no greater than 1024x768, along with your description and details of the instrument.  Send your submission in plain text email.  Your photos must be attachments to the email.  Your UnOfficialWarmoth Forum user name must be included in the body of the email.

In turn, your images will added to this message, which is March's submission thread.

Submissions will be accepted until exactly 7 days from the date and time of this post, so get your cameras clicking!

As usual, discussion about the submissions can take place below.

Please do not post additional photos in any replies to this thread.  Links to other UW threads or external sites are fine.

Please try to stick to the entry requirements:
Two 1024x768 pixel images maximum as attachments please, not embedded in the email or linked to external sites.

An image for the purposes of this contest is a single photograph, not a multiple image/collage.

Include your UnOfficialWarmoth Forum user name.

Warmoth or other professionally finished instruments only this month.

Sorry, but entries that do not meet these requirements may not be included in the contest. If you're having technical difficulties, get in touch!  (But only about contest entries please!)

Rgand, ragamuffin and Frankie Chestnuts get 2020's contests off to a flying start! Best of luck!

Damn I was hoping to get mine ready for submission for March, unfortunately luthier won't have finished it until 10th March so into April's submission it will go!

These guitars are looking absolutely beautiful guys, don't think I would have stood a chance anyway! May the best axe win!

In a similar boat. I can’t have mine ready in time. Why? I have had almost 11 years now on this one. I need eight more hours to finish but I don’t see that happening before April between family, ministry, work, gigs and home improvement needs (like a new roof)

I see two out of the three of us have finishes by Greg Grubaugh. His work is second to none. Lacquerer extradordinare!

Here's the build thread for the Bobber in case anyone is interested in seeing the way it came about.

Who is this Greg Grubaugh you mention? Can you provide a link to him somewhere?

Greg goes by Tonar here on the forums. Just search for Tonar and be amazed.

I concur, some mighty fine entries. The final decision will be a harder job than a one armed paper hanger has. Excellent job People.

And now, I'm going to spend the next couple weeks depressed that I don't have a fretboard like the one on that sunburst Strat...

I just finished my new Warmoth Stratocaster build, hope I'm still in time to enter this month's competition. All the other guitars look pretty cool, tough competition this month… Wouldn't mind losing to any of these guitars.
