Mahogany Strat body has arrived

Looks good.
Waiting on  a delivery of finishing supplies.
I'll be taking my time as I ordered a custom neck (mahogany with ebony FB, no fret markers) just last week.

The UPS guy almost fell on his butt on my front porch (snow). I didn't think they would send out deliveries in the blizzard --those trucks must handle like crap in the snow.

My original intent is to stain it so it is a close match to my Martin 00-17, but I am open to going more red--or more amber/red. Lacquer finish.

As for the pickguard I haven't fully decided, and will let my ultimate stain color be the factor on which way to go.  I'm considering either creme or tortoiseshell. Creme pickup covers and knobs (no decision on pickups yet). Bridge (wilkinson), jack cover, tuning machines, etc will be gold.
