Especially with the LP peghead and ideally available in both standard and short scale for proper EB type basses.
 
Do a search.  This has been discussed before.  There are stability concerns with mahogany bass neck shafts.

I don't see the appeal in ordering any necks with finishes on them. Once you go raw, there is no going back.
 
I don't mind a finished neck, probably because I don't have a lot of palm contact with it. But, I agree, raw is the way to go. Luckily, there's no compromise for doing so. The two most common neck woods, Maple and Mahogany, are easily replaced with a wide variety of other woods with similar characteristics and often more interesting appearances.

Probably - as soon as there's a demand for more than one every five years.

I don't know how long it takes them to program the CNC and test it, but they have to see that money coming back or it would be foolish to make the investment. I know I wouldn't.
