Macassar Ebony vs Pau Farro for fingerboards.

I've got both a Canary/Ebony and a Pao Ferro/Pao Ferro. As far as fingerboards go, I prefer the Ebony, but I've got a pretty light touch so don't really come into contact with it that much. On the other hand though, for the neck meat, I really dig the Pao Ferro. I burnished it just a bit (according to Cagey's instructions) and man is it nice to play on. Slick and smooth as glass.

... That being said, the feel is similar enough that the advantage isn't significant. Also, you are wasting time to even consider the tonality of a fretboard alone. There are too many other factors that weigh into tonality, and it won't be a significant difference to begin with...

And this as far as tone goes. The Canary/Ebony is on an Ash-bodied Strat and the PF/PF is on an Alder-bodied Strat. Acoustically, they're almost identical. I'd give a slight edge to the Canary/Ebony in the midrange, but that's about the only difference.
