I had the whole Steve Lukather set for this guitar and decided against the 85. Wouldn't recommend for crisp articulate soloing.
Micheal Jackson's Billie Jean has a clean rythme funk guitar part which sounds out of phase - more than one pick up wired or switched to phase reversal. Nice for Jazz and Major key stuff.
I do alot of open chording half way up the neck and I think I like them better then my Taylor acoustic. Not sure they're for everybody.... A humbucker in the neck position would be a bigger
sound.
