Love the Gecko, but ....

I just discovered the build your own Gecko concept, and I think it's great in so many ways.  I love the options to choose your woods, bridge, pickups, components, etc...  The diagonal cut is a great way to deal with a bolt on neck and deep cutouts.  I even love the Gecko logo (and I usually hate seeing brand logos anywhere).

The thing I just can't get over though is that the back wood of the neck shows through to the front side of the guitar where the fretboard stops.  Even if the back of the neck is beautiful too, it doesn't match the fretboard or the body, and you're left with a little triangle of weirdness right there in the center by the pickups.  As I look through the gallery of images here and on Warmoth's official site, I see all of these great looking basses, but that little patch of wood always catches my attention every time.

Does Warmoth offer an option to extend the fretboard and cover that area?  If not, I'd like to throw this idea into the suggestion box.

Cheers,

ps: Forgive me if this has already been covered somewhere.  I searched, but didn't find anything.

Nope.  No fingerboard extension.  If you really have to have something else there, you could consider a laminate to match a peghead veneer.  Cost is extra and wood options are limited.  It can be a real bugger to bend a small piece to match the curve at the end of the fingerboard.

Well since were on the topic of finger boards, is there any way of getting more than a 24 fret extension? maybe a 26, 28 or 30? maybe even go crazy like the Kramer 36 fret?
