Hi guys,
I was recently thinking of an alternative to the traditional metal locking washer and came up with the unconventional idea to use a silicone ring instead. I imagined that silicone might have a better grip on the surfaces - Metal / Silicone / Wood instead of Metal / Metal / Wood - when tightened & the compression would act as spring holding parts even better in place.
Better grip due to sticky material surface, flexibility and compression ability. My only concern would maybe longevity? Not sure.
What do you think?
