Live video from last gig (with guest singer)... and Warmoth ;)

The singer from debut album chimed in on a song!

All we others had ONE rehearsal before gig (this is not a full band, it's just my studio project with hired guns for live shows), and he had NONE so for circumstances I think we did a decent job  :icon_thumright:

My solo at 2:05 went decent enough  :bananaguitar:

Recorded with my Behringer X32 mixer striaght to Cubase in my laptop. No overdubs...
Except my cable fell out of the guitar later in the song, but I saved it with some studio magic overdub (you can see where I put up text about it)  :toothy12:

(sorry for badly synched video but it's a weird framerate I cannot synch properly in my video editing program)

This particular gig I actually only used my white Warmoth for two songs later in the set (including the one in video!)
That was only because I wanted to live debut my 80s Barrington BRG-883 for the first time, and its a great guitar too :)
Here's the Barry:

Too much fun!

Incredibly tight for hired guns and short time together. Sounded like the drummer was losing it here and there, though that could just be my imagination. I'm not a "metal" guy, and sometimes the timing escapes me. Either that, or all metal has bizarro timing  :laughing7:

I understand overdubbing to fix the end result, but I'm curious to know how you could keep on going live without knowing you weren't plugged in. Can you not hear yourself?

The drummer hits really hard and his cymbals takes over everything, so I couldn't hear myself very well during the entire gig  :toothy12:

Only time I could hear myself was during solos because I had my solo channel with extreme high volume  + mid EQ boost.

But I'm glad you liked it a bit at least  :icon_biggrin:

This song is very "rocky" compared to other songs thats very fast and doublebass based stuff.

But the guest singer only appeared on this song...
And the real singer had to be kicked out of the band right after the gig.
I wont go into details, about it. But I know other bands who's been in similar situations and I wont waste my time with this kind of stuff.

My experience with singers has left me with a prejudice that tells me they're a strange breed before I even meet one, and are often problem children. Of course, that can't be universally true, but prejudices form for a reason and it's foolish to ignore the evidence of your senses. It's  survival thing :icon_biggrin:

Makes me wonder sometimes about really famous singers like Barbara Streisand. You hear what they're singing and how they're singing it, and you wanna make associations that quite likely don't apply at all. Is she really the intelligent, insightful and compassionate person her performances would imply?

Turns out the answer is no, not at all. She's a borderline insane nutbag from the word "go". She's not a recluse because she wants to be - she has to be in order to keep out of jail  :laughing7:

Looked a lot of fun. Somehow I don't see Barbara Streisand as a fit for Cederick's band  :eek:ccasion14:

Considering she's generally unfit for human companionship, I'd say that's an accurate statement.

I'm being unnecessarily cruel and shouldn't single her out. I was just trying to think of a nut case singer that everyone would recognize. I suppose I could have picked on David Lee Roth. I understand he's quite the handful when it comes to working/playing well with others. Axl Rose certainly isn't without sin. And Ozzy Osborne - Christ, how did I not think of him?

Count me as "Definitely not a Metal Head" too, but this song I really liked! Has a lot of 90's punk overtones, and you can count me as a big fan of that! Well done brother....  :rock-on:

I quickly read that at first glance as:-

Considering she's generally unfit for human consumption, I'd say that's an accurate statement.
