Thanks guys ! You know this guitar with it's natural beauty inspired a Warmoth build I did just a couple months ago .
a 32" Single Cut Warhead in Maple & Padouk

-Oh! You just had to bring that one up again!  -That Shorty had me GAS'ing in the worst way, and I was just getting over it... now, between the Paw and the SCG4SSB, I am about to explode with an intense desire to rub goop into naturally pretty wood, and sand it, and spray it, and polish it, and...

Waking up from a good nap will cause most cats to puke. I think they enjoy it somehow  :laughing7:

On a more serious note, dairy will give a cat diarrhea, as will most canned catfoods. I'm not sure where the idea came from that cats like cream (or milk), but it's sorta like giving chocolate to a dog. It won't kill them, and they really like it, but they'll also drink anti-freeze, which will kill them. Point is, they don't know any better, and it's not part of a normal diet for them.

The volume pot is miswired. You're varying the input impedance on the pickup, as the pot is rotated. Traditionally, the wiper goes to the output, so the pickup will see constant input impedance from the pot.

She's making these horrific noises and is just ripping the poor thing to shreds! " then the kicker .... "Should we call the vet??? [because she ate a mouse, and they have germs]

The only reason I told her not to is that I knew I wouldn't be able to hear the conversation.

My second wife was the same way. When we first started living together, she thought it would be fun to finally have a cat. Having lived with cats myself since infancy, I had no problem with the idea so we got a Siamese. Ultra-fun animal, but she was convinced it was brain-damaged because it couldn't remember its name and wouldn't learn any tricks. Would never come when called. I kept telling her cats don't have any sense of identity and have no desire to play your stupid games unless they simulate hunter/killer, but she wasn't having it. "How can you not know your own name? Even retards get that!"

That doesn't mean it's best. There are differences in the functionality of the scheme, when there are two sets of volume and tone controls, but when there is only one, there is no reason not to wire the volume pot properly. Wiring the wiper terminal as an output prevents variable impedance loading effects, helping the pot to behave more consistently throughout its rotation.

It doesn't make any difference. The volume and tone pots are in parallel with the pickup, and they're all in parallel with amp's input. Draw it out schematically, rather than as a wiring diagram. It's much more clear when you look at it that way.

It does make a difference. Hence the constant arguments over Les Paul wirings. You almost never see master volume pots wired to vary input impedance, because it's simply not a good idea. (Especially in applications where there is high power.) If you draw it out as a schematic, you will see that one side of the circuit will see a variable impedance approaching zero, while the other sees a higher impedance. With the wiper terminal wired as an output, the limit as the output impedance from the pot approaches zero, which is the input impedance seen by the pickup, is the resistance of the pot. (250k, 500k, etc.)

In any case, I was just pointing out a simple observation about the wiring chosen. I don't care to get into this debate.  :doh:
