Thanks guys ! You know this guitar with it's natural beauty inspired a Warmoth build I did just a couple months ago .
a 32" Single Cut Warhead in Maple & Padouk

-Oh! You just had to bring that one up again!  :o -That Shorty had me GAS'ing in the worst way, and I was just getting over it... now, between the Paw and the SCG4SSB, I am about to explode with an intense desire to rub goop into naturally pretty wood, and sand it, and spray it, and polish it, and...

:icon_jokercolor: Kidding. Thanks for sharing some of your other work; others may not have seen it yet, and it is really worth getting a look at!

Thank you man , very kind of you to say . Though I have 6 full Warmoth builds , one more in the works , key word (Snakehead)  :headbang1: 2 other necks on bodies . I could do this all day long  :blob7: Cheers  now to run off to the showcase...

...Cool guitar, nice idea...if only humans were as honest and dependable as the rest of the animal kingdom...

You got that shit right, man. That's the clean trute!

Did the cat's demise have anything to do with the paw prints in wet paint?

Sorry, its cat humor.Something the rotten rascals would think funny, (as long as its someone else).  I'll cry too when mine goes.

it was milk paint , safe for all your kids and pets .  :icon_jokercolor:

Nice builds, man!  Real elegant and simple.  Sorry about your kitties.  I lost my dog a little over a year ago, it sucks to lose a friend you've had that long.

Oooh! I can't wait to see the Snakehead! I was pipe-dreamin' about one on a sugar pine body with only a bridge-pick-up, -Esquire style... -bet you got a really unique twist on that classic cooking! You gotta show us as soon as you're finished!  :headbang1:

Thanks so much and my condolences for your loss .

:glasses9: I think I'm gonna keep it simple , scored that amazing qsawn Snakehead the other day and yeah I have been thinking of Pine also  :guitarplayer2:

The teeniest bit of dairy will cause my cat to puke, but no, I was implying violent demise at the haands of the painter.

Those kitties were so love perhaps loved to death ? But nah  she didn't eat it at all she was dipped in the tub right away . :icon_biggrin:

Waking up from a good nap will cause most cats to puke. I think they enjoy it somehow  :laughing7:

On a more serious note, dairy will give a cat diarrhea, as will most canned catfoods. I'm not sure where the idea came from that cats like cream (or milk), but it's sorta like giving chocolate to a dog. It won't kill them, and they really like it, but they'll also drink anti-freeze, which will kill them. Point is, they don't know any better, and it's not part of a normal diet for them.

The volume pot is miswired. You're varying the input impedance on the pickup, as the pot is rotated. Traditionally, the wiper goes to the output, so the pickup will see constant input impedance from the pot.

My wife has never been around cats (or boys) before we got married. Her mom (Leona Helmsley Jr) taught her girls that cats (as well as boys) are pure evil.

So not long after we're married, I get a frantic call at work one day. "Eeeewwww!! The cat is eating a mouse. It's horrible - worse than anything on animal planet!! She's making these horrific noises and is just ripping the poor thing to shreds! " then the kicker .... "Should we call the vet??? [because she ate a mouse, and they have germs]

The only reason I told her not to is that I knew I wouldn't be able to hear the conversation.

Hehe! Too funny.

My second wife was the same way. When we first started living together, she thought it would be fun to finally have a cat. Having lived with cats myself since infancy, I had no problem with the idea so we got a Siamese. Ultra-fun animal, but she was convinced it was brain-damaged because it couldn't remember its name and wouldn't learn any tricks. Would never come when called. I kept telling her cats don't have any sense of identity and have no desire to play your stupid games unless they simulate hunter/killer, but she wasn't having it. "How can you not know your own name? Even retards get that!"

it's "50's wiring" I just follow the pictures  :icon_biggrin:

That doesn't mean it's best. There are differences in the functionality of the scheme, when there are two sets of volume and tone controls, but when there is only one, there is no reason not to wire the volume pot properly. Wiring the wiper terminal as an output prevents variable impedance loading effects, helping the pot to behave more consistently throughout its rotation.

It doesn't make any difference. The volume and tone pots are in parallel with the pickup, and they're all in parallel with amp's input. Draw it out schematically, rather than as a wiring diagram. It's much more clear when you look at it that way.

It does make a difference. Hence the constant arguments over Les Paul wirings. You almost never see master volume pots wired to vary input impedance, because it's simply not a good idea. (Especially in applications where there is high power.) If you draw it out as a schematic, you will see that one side of the circuit will see a variable impedance approaching zero, while the other sees a higher impedance. With the wiper terminal wired as an output, the limit as the output impedance from the pot approaches zero, which is the input impedance seen by the pickup, is the resistance of the pot. (250k, 500k, etc.)

In any case, I was just pointing out a simple observation about the wiring chosen. I don't care to get into this debate.
