Well, it's finally finished and was well worth the time. This thing plays and sounds better than anything I've ever had my hands on. Pete Biltoft did an amazing job on the pickups.

The mini-toggle is wired so that down selects the SC Rail coil, middle selects full humbuckers, and up selects the P90 coil.

It's named after my wife because it was an anniversary gift.

Can you measure how far it is from the bridge to the end of the body for me.... there's a project lurking in my head.

and very nice looker indeed!~

There is nice variation across the top in terms of depth of the color - the light spot you spoke of... it just blends in with the crowd.  It looks awesome and totally pro.

Not a Bixby... I know that would fit... a B5 at least.  No... I'm thinking trapeze.

Well.... I need the distance from bridge to end of the body to work out the details.....

Its about 6" even from the end of the body to the center of the bridge post on mine.

Would look awesome a Carved Top with Tune-o-matic and trapeze....

Seems like I was completely cracked on this... I was sure this post of =CB= was about a Tele and thought that on a Tele...
Unfortunatelly Warmoth doesn't make Carved Top L5S

no it was L5, and I can shorten a trapeze to maybe 4-1/2 inches, but... thats not really what I wanted.

Blue, Thanks for taking the measurement for CB!

Unwound, The VV pickups are modeled after the Duncan P-Rails. I listened to the Duncan P-Rails and thought the P90 sound was good but didn't like the single coil (too thin) or humbucker sound. I contacted Pete and asked him if he could build me a similar set but use a bigger single coil. So the pickups are basically his P90 Strat pickup mated to his Strat blade single coil. I just took my chances on what the combination played as a humbucker would sound like. Actually it sounds really good and the P90 and single coil tones are wonderful.
